The second difference is that in the movie, they all had to go in at the same time, but in the book, they had to go in one at a time.
The third difference is that in the movie, Oz gave everybody real things, but in the movie, he just gave them fake things, telling them that they really did have the things that they thought that they needed.
Chapter Seventeen
The first difference in chapter seventeen is that in the movie, the witch of the North was the one that knew that Dorothy could get home by herself (without the Wizard of Oz) but in the book, The Wizard of Oz was the one that knew that she could get home.
The second difference is that in the movie, Dorothy knew where Toto had gone when he'd went to chase a kitten, but in the book, she didn't know where he was.
Chapter Eighteen
The first difference in chapter eighteen is that in the movie, Oz didn't make the scarecrow the new ruler of all the people that Oz used to rule.
The second difference is that in the movie, Dorothy didn't call the winged monkeys to help her get home, but in the book, she did.
The third difference is that in the movie, the same witch (of the North) came to help Dorothy, but in the book, a different witch (the witch of the South) came to help her.
