The first difference in between the movie and the book of the story of The Wizard of Oz is that in the movie, the friends showed the Wizard of Oz that they had killed the Wicked Witch of the West first, but in the book, they showed the guard of the doors of Oz.
The second difference is that in the movie, Dorothy wasn't sorry when she had killed the witch, but in the book, she was sorry.
The third difference is that in the movie, the Great Oz wanted the friends to bring the witch's broom to prove that they had killed the Wicked Witch of the West, but in the book, the Great Oz only wanted them to kill the Wicked Witch of the West.
The fourth difference is that in the movie, the cowardly lion was really scared, because he didn't have courage, but in the book, the lion had scared Dorothy's dog almost three times.
The fifth difference is that in the movie, the wizard of Oz was just a very bad wizard, but in the book, he was a humbug.
